Sumita is the daughter of a diplomat. Growing up in different countries and being an immigrant herself allow her to have a broad perspective of the challenges of immigration, which are challenges that make her passionate to work in this field. With a history of pro-bono work and corporate law experience in India, Sumita focuses her career at Hogan & Vandenberg on all types of employment-based visas, assisting organizations and skilled professionals to develop their careers in United States. She is licensed to practice law both in the U.S. and India and speaks French, Spanish, Urdu/Hindi, and Punjabi.
Sumita has a bachelor’s of from the National Law School of India University and an LL.M from Temple University Law School. She is also a member of American Immigration Lawyers Association and the New York Bar Association.
