Getting a Green Card in the United States

A Green Card is a U.S. Permanent Resident Card that allows you to live in the U.S. even if you are not a citizen. There are six ways to obtain a Green Card:

  • Family
  • Employment (EF1-3)
  • Asylum
  • Visa lottery
  • Victim of a crime or trafficking
  • EB5 investor

While the process for obtaining a Green Card is not especially complex, certain issues such as a criminal record can prevent you from getting a Green Card. When you apply for a card, we offer convenient and knowledgeable legal assistance to answer all of your immigration questions.

Green Card Renewal in the United States

You can renew a conditional Green Card. If you received the card because of marriage, then the Green Card is conditional for the first two years of marriage. The government uses this conditional period to ensure that the marriage is for legitimate, not fraudulent, purposes.

We will help you in lifting the conditional period on your Green Card. If you are no longer married during that two-year period, you have to prove that your marriage was in good faith to lift the condition.

Another way to renew a Green Card is if extreme hardship would occur if you left the U.S. Regardless of your reason for renewing your Green Card, we can help. We will file the paperwork and answer all of your questions.
