Maral Beyzaei has been working at Hogan & Vandenberg as a paralegal since August 2009. She graduated from Villanova University in May 2009 with a B.A. in Psychology, Sociology and Communications and knew she wanted to take a year to gain meaningful legal experience before beginning law school in the fall of 2010. She is well on her way to becoming a lawyer, as she just recently took the Law School Admissions Test and will soon begin the application process.

During her four years at Villanova, Maral interned with Nissan’s Marketing Department for a summer in her hometown of Los Angeles, built houses in post-Katrina New Orleans with Habitat for Humanity, interned for a summer with the Philadelphia Flyers Marketing Department in South Philadelphia, and co-founded the Villanova Student Activists, a student-run campus organization working to stop global climate change.

Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, Maral moved to New Orleans for two months to work as a Field Manager for the Gulf Restoration Network, a non-profit dedicated to preventing future Katrinas. She managed a group of 15-20 canvassers working to gain support for the Network’s summer campaign entitled “Defend Our Wetlands, Defend Ourselves”.

Now, as a paralegal with Hogan & Vandenberg, Maral is gaining invaluable experience under the mentorship of John, Umar, and Antonio as she is preparing for her future career as an attorney.

Maral is conversant in Farsi, Spanish, and certain dialects of Turkish.
